Social Lens Research [www.sociallensresearch.com] is a market research company which gathers consumer information during contracted research campaigns.
“Personal Information” is both information about a person’s identity, and information and opinions gathered through surveys and focus groups.
Social Lens Research is committed to the privacy and security of Personal Information of respondents, patients, business individuals and business entities.
Research Survey Information
All Personal Information SLR collects will be lawfully collected and processed by Social Lens Research only, will be used for research purposes only, will not be disclosed to any person not employed by Social Lens Research and will not be disclosed to any client other than for lawful research purposes.
Companies contracting Social Lens Research to conduct a research survey may request certain information about each respondent. Social Lens Research provides this information in aggregate, combined with the responses from other respondents.
Social Lens Research clients on rare occasions request identifying information regarding respondents. Such requests will be clearly stated on the survey instrument, and Social Lens Research will ensure that respondents are made aware of this request before agreeing to survey participation. Identifying information in such instances will be treated in strict confidence.
Respondents will have the opportunity to choose (opt-out) whether their personal information is (i) to be disclosed to a third party or (ii) to be used for a purpose that is materially different from the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individuals. Individuals must be provided with clear, conspicuous, and readily available mechanisms to exercise choice.
For sensitive information (i.e., personal information specifying medical or health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or information specifying the sex life of the individual), respondents will need to provide affirmative express consent (opt in) to Social Lens Research if such information is to be (i) disclosed to a third party or (ii) used for a purpose other than those for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individuals through the exercise of opt-in choice. In addition, we will treat as sensitive any personal information received from a third party where the third party identifies and treats it as sensitive.
By derogation to the previous paragraph, when disclosure is made to a third party that is acting as an agent to perform task(s) on behalf of and under the instructions of Social Lens Research we will always enter into a contract with the agent.
Social Lens Research Database
Social Lens Research maintains a Database of respondents’ names and contact information. This information is used to invite individuals to participate in research surveys in exchange for prizes, information or compensation. Individuals opt-in to the Database on a purely voluntary basis.
Social Lens Research is committed to the privacy and security of Personal Information. Personal Information in the Database will not be disclosed to any person not employed by Social Lens Research to conduct or analysis the research.
Individuals will have access to personal information about them that an organization holds and be able to correct, amend, or delete that information where it is inaccurate, or has been processed in violation of the Principles, except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the individual’s privacy in the case in question, or where the rights of persons other than the individual would be violated.
Social Lens Research will not knowingly collect online contact information from children or minors (as defined by local requirements) Children or minors are eligible to participate in our surveys only with a parent’s or guardian’s signed consent. If you are a child or a minor, you are required to get the permission of your parents or guardians in order to complete certain transactions on this website.

The Social Lens Research’s website, www.sociallensresearch.com, does not place any files, including cookies, on visitor’s computers at any time. Social Lens Research maintains a log file of site visitor information like every website on the Internet. This information may include IP address, operating system and browser, originating website, and the search engine and search phrase used, if any.
Such log file information is used only to evaluate the use and effectiveness of www.sociallensresearch.com.
Social Lens Research does not engage in activities that could in any way result in spam. Social Lens Research does not engage in direct-contact sales, or sales of any kind. Social Lens Research will never disclose any personal information to any party except a client for lawful research purposes, and in those rare cases the respondent will be fully aware of the disclosure requirement before participating in the survey.
Social Lens Research may contact respondents who have voluntarily entered the database. The purpose of the contact is to qualify a respondent for a research survey, or to invite a respondent to participate in a research survey. Contact may be made via email. In such cases, Social Lens Research will clearly identify themselves, providing telephone and email contact information. Additionally, an option will be provided for contact removal from the database and cease all future email contact from Social Lens Research.
This policy ensures that Social Lens Research contact only those individuals with an expectation of being contacted with invitations to participate in research surveys.
